How do I check that a Texas plumber is licensed?
Ask for the RMP number - it is written as M-#####. Texas law requires the Responsible Master Plumber licence number to appear on all advertising and on any vehicle used for plumbing work. Enter it into our license checker or the TSBPE lookup to see status, expiration and whether insurance is on file.
Where do these Texas company counts come from?
Directly from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners's published RMP roster, last downloaded August 2026. We republish it without editing it, and no company can pay to change what it says.
Why does my small town not have a page?
We only publish a city page when at least 3 licensed companies list that city as their address. Below that the page would have almost nothing on it. The county figure on the nearest listed city is the more useful number anyway, because plumbers work a metro rather than a postcode.
